Work Principle

The principle of the oxygen sensor is similar to that of a dry cell, and the zirconia element in the sensor acts like an electrolyte. Its basic working principle is: under certain conditions (high temperature and platinum catalysis) , the oxygen concentration difference between inside and outside of zirconia produces potential difference, and the greater the concentration difference, the greater the potential difference.

Application

* When your car is equipped with a fast flow catalytic converter or has poor catalytic function, your check engine light (CEL) may light up due to increased airflow.

* The micro catalytic gasket of the oxygen sensor separates the rear oxygen sensor from the exhaust gas channel, which makes the ECU of the car think that the catalytic converter is still there.

Installation Steps

1: Diagnostic trouble codes to idenitfy thefaulty sensor.

2: Locate the oxygen sensor position andremove it with a socket.

3:Remove wiring connector.

4:Lubricate the new oxygen sensor.
